⚠ Name / location check needed

Do not confuse with "Ghantiyala" / "Ghatiyala", a different village in Jodhpur Tehsil famous for the ancient Ghatiyala inscriptions. Name spellings overlap across sources, but this appears to be a separate village from the Patawat clan’s Ghantiyali. Confirm the correct tehsil/village before adding any historical claims here.

Ghantiyali in the records

The published history records that Surtansingh, son of Rajsingh of the Karnu–Aau line, received Ghantiyali when it was resumed (tagir) from the Rupawats; the thikana table assesses it at 4,000 rekh. Nearby lay Khariya Patawatan, the village of Jagath, son of Rao Pato Ji. A village generation list in the family papers — from Sur Singhji down to Chiman Singhji — is under History Committee verification. The Census of Marwar 1941 records Ghantiyali as a Patawat jagir village.

⌛ Under Review A second translation of the same sheet reads the line as: 1. Sur Singhji, of Rajsiji — 2. of Sur Singhji, Sivdan Singhji; of Sivdan Singhji, Sagram — 3. Madho Singhji, of Sagram Singhji — 4. Rao Vankidasji — 5. Rav Sihaji — 6. Harnath Singhji — 7. Guman Singhji, whose line runs Jodh Singhji, Indrabhanji, Sagram Singhji, Vag Singhji, Mokam Singhji, Jugat Singhji, Chiman Singhji. The two readings differ at generations 3 and 4; both are recorded here until the original sheet is checked.
