पींपासर

Identified as a Patawat community village in records shared with this project — part of the Patawat cluster around Karnu in Nagaur district. Detailed history not yet documented — family heads and elders are invited to contribute. Census records list this village as "Peempasar" (Hindi: पींपासर). Pipasar is also widely known as the birthplace of Guru Jambheshwar Ji (Jambhoji, b. 1451), founder of the Bishnoi panth — a heritage claim noted here at research tier pending citation on this site.
We have not yet found Pipasar in any of the documents held so far — not in the printed clan history, not in the register of thikana grants, and not on the pages of the 1941 census that have been photographed. The village is listed here because community records associate it with Patawat Pargana. That association has not yet been matched to a document, and we are not going to pretend otherwise.
If you are from Pipasar, you almost certainly know more about it than this page does. Send what you have to the History Committee →
