चिमाणा

Listed among the 24 villages of ठिकाणा आऊ (Thikana Aau) in Patawat community records. Detailed local history — families, temples, landmarks and oral tradition — is still being collected, and family heads and elders are invited to contribute. What is now documented are the archival records for this village, set out further down this page. Census records list this village as "Cheemana" (Hindi: चिमाणा), matching the community name Chimana.
The grant records tell Chimana's story in two stages: in S.1903 (1846 CE) Maharaja Takhat Singh gave the village to Sagat Singh — the entry adds that Nausar was returned the same year in exchange — and that after some sixty years the village passed to the khalsa (state lands). The Census of Marwar 1941 agrees: Chimana appears there as a khalsa village of 2,000 rekh, no longer in jagir.
