Padiyal in the records

Jogidas Mukandasot Patawat, Thakur of Padiyal and Chakhu, was appointed hakim of Phalodi by Maharaja Abhay Singh, and in Samvat 1806 (1749 CE) made his famous stand at Phalodi fort — read the full story. His son Harisingh received Padiyal. The thikana records also preserve a battle fought at Padiyal against a Bikaner force, for which the village of Godarli was granted in reward. In the Census of Marwar 1941, Pariyal (Padiyal) appears in Phalodi pargana with its jagir linkage recorded.
